Granite

Granite is a natural stone that comes from stone quarries and is then cut into slabs.

The advantage granite has over engineered stone is that every slab is slightly different in pattern and color. Granite is a porous material and can absorb liquids, which means it can stain more easily and accumulate bacteria. It’s more scratch and heat resistant than marble and is better for your wallet.

When properly sealed, it’s stain and bacteria resistant. For better care, granite has to be resealed from time to time.

Marble
